How to use Keyboard as a Mouse

If your mouse is not working and you want to wait till you get a new one then you can use your keyboard as a mouse. You can use the numeric keyboard on your keyboard instead of mouse to move the pointer. It is easy to use your mouse as keyboard in Windows using the On Screen Keyboard utility, but it is also possible to do reverse.

How to use Keyboard as a Mouse

All you need to do is:
To activate mouse keys all you do is press Alt+Left shift key (the one below the caps lock key) and then Num Lock key. Now you can access your keyboard as a mouse.

Navigation keys for keyboard:
  • 5 - Select
  • 2 - Move down
  • 8 - Move up
  • 4 - Move left
  • 6 - Move right
  • For double click, just press the plus symbol(+)
  • For right click, just press the minus symbol (-)
  • Press 0 and navigate the pointer = selecting the text in a normal keyboard
  • Pressing * or - and then pressing 5 = right click on your normal mouse (to use 5 to perform the left click action press the / key)
To deactivate just press same key (Alt+Left shift key+num lock)
