In office environment, they provide shared computers to their workers. So the workers can not be able to protect personal as well as confidential files from co-workers. If you want your system to protect accessing from others, then lock your files. Nowadays many number of software’s are available for this purpose. But you can also be able to protect the system without using any software. Simply create a locked folder in your computer and you will have a key to unlock the locked folder. Here I have given the ways to lock your folders. 

Step 1: Create a folder in any drive. For example I have created a folder and named it as work.

Step 2: Then create one text file in the same drive. Copy and paste the below code and save it as lock.bat.

ren work work.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-08002B30309D}

Step 3: Create another text file. Copy and Paste the below code and save it as unlock.bat.

ren work.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-08002B30309D}work

Step 4: Now you can see two batch files lock and unlock. If you click lock.bat file then your original folder contents can’t be viewed. If you click unlock.bat file then original folder contents will be viewed.

Tips to burn CD on windows XP without software

If you wish to write some data to CD/DVD from your computer, then your PC must have installed with CD-copy software. In Windows XP, it comes with a built-in CD-copy feature, but many people are not aware of it.

Everyone will install their favorite CD-copy software in system. It is still good to know about this built-in CD-copy feature from Windows XP. If you doesn't have CD-copy software, and you can't just install your favorite software to system, you can use this built-in CD-copy feature to write some data to a CD/DVD or erase data from re-writable CD/DVD.

Requirements: You need to enable the CD-R feature on Windows XP.

Step 1: Insert a Formatted CD into the CD drive.

Step 2: Open "My Computer".

Step 3: Select the files/folders you want to copy to CD and press "Ctrl-c".

Step 4: Go back to the CD-ROM and press "Ctrl-V". At this time the files/folders will show like temporary files.

Step 5: On the left panel select "Write these files to CD".

Step 6: Then the "CD Writing Wizard" will appear with the default CD name. If you want, change the CD name and click "Next".

Step 7: The "CD Writing Wizard" starts to write files to the CD.

Step 8: The wizard will disappear after the writing process is complete. After this the CD-Rom will be ejected.

How to make free calls from PC to mobile phones

Step 3: A pop-up window will appear.

Step 4: Now a recorded welcome message greets you along with an advertisement. It will ask you to select one of the Free411 service. Just listen to the options until the last one as “Free Call”. After hearing the last option don’t press any number in key board. Then say “Free call” loudly on your microphone connected to your PC.

Step 5: After this, they will run a short advertisement of their sponsor and make sure you don’t press any number at this time.

Step 6: Wait until you here a beep sound after the following message “Please dial the phone number country code first, don’t forget to dial 1 for North America”. After hearing message, dial the destination number of your choice immediately along with the country code. (E.g. for North America it’s 1 and for India it’s 91).

Step 7: Now your call will get connected and you can talk up to 7 minutes for free. After 7 minutes the call will disconnect. Repeat the same procedure to talk again.

There is no limit to make free calls. So enjoy this trick to make free international and local calls. It even works to make free local mobile calls in India.

How to make a folder as Image Folder

Generally we used to save our images/photos in folders other than "My Pictures". In this case our photo folders looks like ordinary folders and its contents are displayed as listing of files. We can change the files by just right-click it and select viewà Thumbnails. By using this method, we have to repeat the same procedure again and again whenever we want to view the same folder. Step 1: Right-click on the folder and choose "Properties"

Step 2: Then one Pop up window will appear. In that select the "Customize" Tab. Here you will find a text "Use this folder type as a template" and in that select "Pictures (best for many files)".

Step 3: Then select "Also apply this template to all subfolders" which will help you to apply the settings to subfolders as well.

Step 4: Click OK to save changes.

• Then Type ping ‘space’ website Name (Ex:- Ping www.facebook.com)

If you need vacuum to clean inside of your computer, then use a portable battery powered vacuum especially designed for this purpose or try compressed air.
• Avoid using chemical cleaning solvents. Some people have allergic reactions to chemicals and some chemicals can even damage the components. Always use water or highly diluted solvent for cleaning.
• When cleaning fans within personal pc or laptop, it's recommended to place something in-between the fan blades. It will prevent your fan from spinning. Spraying compressed air into a fan may cause damage.
• Avoid eat and drink around the computer and try to avoid smoking near to the computer.
