If your mouse
is not working and you want to wait till you get a new one then you can use
your keyboard as a mouse. You can use the numeric keyboard on your keyboard
instead of mouse to move the pointer. It is easy
to use your mouse as keyboard in Windows using the On Screen Keyboard utility, but it is also
possible to do reverse.
All you need to do is:
To
activate mouse keys all you do is press Alt+Left shift key (the one below the caps lock key) and
then Num Lock key. Now you can access your keyboard as a mouse.
Navigation
keys for keyboard:
- 5 - Select
- 2 - Move down
- 8 - Move up
- 4 - Move left
- 6 - Move right
- For double click, just press the plus symbol(+)
- For right click, just press the minus symbol (-)
- Press 0 and navigate the pointer = selecting the text in a normal keyboard
- Pressing * or - and then pressing 5 = right click on your normal mouse (to use 5 to perform the left click action press the / key)
To deactivate just press same key (Alt+Left shift key+num
lock)
