How to Remove Virus from Pen drive

Pen drives are the most commonly portable devices to transfer data from one system to another system. So it is easily infected with virus. In this article I have given some tricks on how to remove the virus from pen drive in easiest way.

How to identify the virus in Pendrive:

When you plug a USB drive in your system, dialogue box will appear. In that box select cancel and follow the below instructions.

• Open the command prompt by typing 'cmd' in Run box
•  In the command prompt type the drive letter: and press enter.
•  Now type dir/w/a/ and press enter.
•  Now we can see the following files
• Autorun.inf
• Ravmon.exe
• New Folder.exe
• svchost.exe
• Heap41a

If any one of the above these files are there, then the pen drive will be affected with virus.

Removing the virus in Pendrive:

•  In command prompt type attrib attrib -r -a -s -h *.* and press enter.

In this process they remove read only. Then now you just delete the files using the command del filename. eg: del Ravmon.exe.

Easiest way:

•  Right click on removable disk
• Scan with antivirus you can use

 Finally the virus will be removed from your USB dives. Then you can copy any files from pendrive without virus. Now your system is virus free.
